We have had the privilege of knowing Denny both professionally and personally for over 15 years. HIS decision to step forward and serve Chanhassen once again reflects who he is at his core—someone dedicated to "purposeful living" and meaningful connection with others.

Denny and his wife, Ruth, genuinely care about community. When you combine that spirit with Denny's experience, kindness, and deep love for Chanhassen, you have a most valuable City Council member.

I have known Denny Laufenburger over many years, often through a variety of community service roles Denny has held. There are certain things that have stood out for me as I’ve watched and worked with Denny.

I have been impressed by and respected Denny’s character. He is a values driven person that respects every person with whom he interacts. His character is formed out of a strong belief system. Denny is a stand-up guy!

He will make himself available to serve the citizens of Chanhassen, using his time, experience and leadership skills to build trust to serve his community well. That is who he is! His servant mentality is driven by a sense of dedication, commitment and accountability.

Although Chanhassen and Chaska may be rivals on the field of play, I would always welcome the opportunity to be a team member with Denny!

I’ve known Denny for a while but really got to know him when we were Mayors in our respective communities. I have learned that Denny researches and gets to know what ever the issue that may come up. He is always well prepared and not afraid to stand up what is right for his community. Always doing what he believes is the best for his community.

After Denny left the mayor’s position, he has continued to be well involved in the Chanhassen community, through his work at Chanhassen High School. He is always well prepared and knows the subjects he is discussing.

As engaged citizens, you want a council member who knows their community, understands the issues and will speak honestly and factually regardless of what comes before the Council.

Denny checks all these boxes and is exactly who you want as a next City Council Member.
